Vijay Deverakonda’s Ranabaali has pulled off something the trade didn’t see coming. The film has crossed ₹25 Cr gross in Nizam, a big milestone that proves just how strong Vijay’s fanbase is in the territory.
₹25 Cr in Nizam/Telangana
Joining the ₹25 Cr gross club in Nizam is no small feat. Very few mid-range films get there, and for a film that opened with low buzz and mixed talk, it’s a fantastic achievement.
Nizam has always been one of Vijay Deverakonda’s strongest markets, and Ranabaali has shown that his pull there is as strong as ever.
Profitable in Nizam, Break-Even in Ceded/Rayalaseema
Ranabaali has emerged as a profitable venture in Nizam. The film has also achieved break-even in Ceded, a region where mass audiences have backed it strongly through word of mouth.
In Andhra, the film is close to reaching its break-even mark too.
Strong Across India
The rest of India has also done well for Ranabaali. Overall, the film’s domestic run has been good, far better than what the trade expected after the first day.
Overseas Remains the Weak Spot
The only market where Ranabaali didn’t work is overseas. The film struggled there from the start and couldn’t recover, ending well short of its overseas break-even.
₹70 Cr Worldwide
Ranabaali has now collected around ₹70 Cr gross worldwide, close to its ₹75 Cr break-even target.
A Positive Result for Vijay
For Vijay Deverakonda, Ranabaali is a big positive. His performance has been appreciated, and the film has delivered a good result at the box office despite low buzz, a tough clash with Jailer 2 and weak overseas numbers.
It’s a comeback that was built show by show, on the strength of mass audiences and word of mouth.
